free penguins!
After taking a nice long nap after work, opened up my laptop with the intention to do some work. However, I realised that the Internet was free! (it's usually 1c/mb) So anyway, plans of study/work disappeared and just started randomly surfing the net 
In my procrastination, I had google reader open and saw this...
A free DIY Linux penguin from fractalspin! Haven't yet printed and tried making it yet - but must find some time to do so! I see a lot of numbered tabs, but wonder how it all goes together? For the more skilled/talented people you can try and sew your own soft-toy version (see instructions at free-penguin.org). If anyone does try, tell me how it goes!

Well… I’ve started it… and you’re supposed to glue down the tabs in sequential order (nuh-duh).
I’d fold all the tabs first, then start. Tab 1 and 2 require you to ‘bend’ the head a little for them to attach onto the other side of the head (pretend the paper for the head is symmetrical down the nose, and the bit where there SHOULD be the mirrors of Tabs 1 and 2 is where you glue/tape them). If you glue, the glue goes on the side of the numbers, if you tape the tape goes on the white side of the paper.
I’m moving onto the body, and the hardest bit was taping down 17-19, since it actually requires you to leave a gap for the arms… and it’s quite so intuitive.

i saw the pics you sent to me – even more motivation to make the tux! I’ve printed it out…though putting it on an A4 print-out means the gif file is only on 60%…so the penguin will be smaller than it can be 
for ppl who are going to make it plz send me a photo of the completed tux – i’ll prob put the combined photos as a post or put it as a pic on deviant art

I got mine finish! hmm without attaching the legs that is, but i made it looked like the feet are attached *cheat* =p
It took me a lot longer than I thought, and I made so much sticky mess because of the glue. I’ll show you the pic tomolo!
