Yes, it is a literal translation from Chinese: 年年有魚(餘), 新年快樂!

  1. lol, but that fish word doesnt mean fish – it means spare money/salary/stuff…

  2. lols yeah, that’s why i put the actual character in brackets, but because of the homophone it’s often written as “fish” as well – thus the direct translation and why ppls often eat fish for cny :P
